Beverly is an avid and passionate bibliophile, finding her truest expression in the written word. With an insatiable thirst for reading, she has seamlessly woven her literary tapestry to mirror her deepest interest – the compelling narratives of a family reunited. In her debut work, “Separate and Parallel”, Beverly embarks on an enthralling journey through the annals of family history and the drama that unfolds within. Her second work, “Parallel and Separate”, continues to explore the rich tapestry of family connections, driven by a profound curiosity and a desire to uncover the hidden tales of two sisters.

What Inspired Beverly To write books?

Drawn by stories that capture the vivacious spirit of bygone eras, Beverly is intrigued by the poignant journey of family members. Unlike the international business manuals and workbooks that initiated her writing career, Beverly is drawn to heart-stirring connections that transcend time. She is especially fascinated by testaments to the enduring strength of family ties, the relentless courage of the human spirit, and the miraculous twists of fate that can reunite kindred souls when all hope appears to be lost.

What has been the most difficult challenge in writing a book?

Speaking at length with my mother concerning her childhood, I discovered her innate skill at blending intuition and empathy. In her presence I obtained a focused clarity of her life resulting in volumes of notes and interview tapes of our conversations. The result of these revelations is “Separate and Parallel” which consumed four years of intermittent writing, editing, and rewriting. When mother and Aunt Janet discovered one another, I was drawn to Janet’s uncanny ability to heal, inspire and nurture. Realizing a vast difference between these two sisters, I began notetaking and tapes of conversation to capture a divergent perspective of truth.
